CUSTOM TATTOOS

For thousands of years, tattoos have been part many indigenous cultures of the Northwest Coast.  For the Haida, body art was a means to express an individuals participation as part of a social unit, a moiety, or a lineage. Tattoos put a persons identity and spiritual connections on display through the use of crest figures and/or guardian spirits.

Double Fin Killer Whale

symbolizes family, romance, longevity, harmony, travel, community and protection.  Orcas travel in large family groups, working together to protect all members of their pod.

Salmon

symbolizes abundance, fertility, prosperity and renewal. For thousands of years, Salmon have been the primary food source for Northwest Coast Native Americans and are highly respected.
